Ares Music Software

Just when the music companies thought they were on top of the situation, Ares music software comes out to play.

Ares is something similar to Limewire, BitTorrent etc that "allows" you to download large amounts of music and software to your computer.

Now here is the trick, we all know that it is not really legal, and a company can be taken to court.

But the Ares software is not a company, it is what the internet does best. It allows anyone to build up the software, because it is open source.

At the moment the file sharing has not stopped or has little hassle in the past because there is really no-one to target. And as the software gets bigger and better then more people use it which will make the software get bigger or better.

Now, iTunes costs Apple about $1 Billion to run...no I am not joking. It is a mammoth amount that Apple must get back in the shape of 99c+ or whatever for your single download. Apples business is strong, but when you deal with open source, things start to get a bit tricky.

People will always buy from a reputable dealer, always. But when that dealer increases the prices, or the industry comes down hard or makes up their own "iTunes" then people will start to walk away. They will check out YouTube or Ares music software because they want to check out 1 song.

No-one wants their fave artist to reduce in size/ fanbase or even go without a share of the profits but something has to give.

With over 100 million titles available to download Ares is another crack at an industry that has no clue in what to do or what is going to happen.

If you want to check out Ares then you can check out their website here: Ares music software
